FAQ for Collectors & Publishers

Who is Fadwa Al Qasem?
I am a Palestinian-Canadian artist and bilingual author. My work spans visual art, performance, and literature, with a focus on women’s lives, resilience, and the transformative power of storytelling.
What mediums do you work in?
I primarily work with mixed media: ink, watercolor, found text, collage, and vintage papers. I also integrate performance and installation art, and my literary practice includes fiction, poetry, and children’s literature.
What are your key collections?
My signature art series include:
  • Women in Economy — exploring women’s contributions to the economic and cultural fabric of society.
  • Women of Spirit — portraits of strength and inner light.
  • Unbroken — resilience in the face of struggle.
  • Tormented Egos — layered explorations of identity.
  • These Are Their Tears — the emotional landscapes of women’s lives.
  • Cityscapes — abstracted urban narratives.
  • The Tenderness Journals — intimate studies of vulnerability.
Do you work with galleries and institutions?
Yes. I collaborate with galleries, museums, and cultural organizations worldwide. My work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions, and I am open to new curatorial projects, residencies, and partnerships.
Do you offer limited editions?
Yes. Many of my pieces are available as limited edition prints, signed and numbered. Originals are available for collectors, and some series are reserved exclusively for institutional acquisition.
What literary works have you published?
I write novels, short stories, poetry, and children’s books. My forthcoming novel When Birds Still Sing is represented by a literary agent and explores magical realism rooted in Palestinian memory. My works appear in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish.
How can a publisher or curator contact you?
Please use the contact form on my website or email me directly for proposals. I am open to collaborative projects that expand dialogue between art, literature, and social consciousness.
Where have you exhibited or published before?
My art and writing have been showcased internationally, with exhibitions, performances, and publications spanning multiple continents. I am comfortable presenting to diverse audiences across cultures and languages.
Do you give talks?
Yes. I frequently participate in artist talks, panel discussions, and literary readings. I also conduct workshops focused on creative practice, identity, and resilience through art.
How can I access your portfolio and press kit?
A digital portfolio and press kit are available upon request. Please reach out via the Contact page.
