Who is Fadwa Al Qasem?
I am a Palestinian-Canadian artist and bilingual author. My work spans visual art, performance, and literature, with a focus on women’s lives, resilience, and the transformative power of storytelling.
What mediums do you work in?
I primarily work with mixed media: ink, watercolor, found text, collage, and vintage papers. I also integrate performance and installation art, and my literary practice includes fiction, poetry, and children’s literature.
What are your key collections?

Do you offer limited editions?
Yes. Many of my pieces are available as limited edition prints, signed and numbered. Originals are available for collectors, and some series are reserved exclusively for institutional acquisition.
What literary works have you published?
I write novels, short stories, poetry, and children’s books. My forthcoming novel When Birds Still Sing is represented by a literary agent and explores magical realism rooted in Palestinian memory. My works appear in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish.

Yes. I frequently participate in artist talks, panel discussions, and literary readings. I also conduct workshops focused on creative practice, identity, and resilience through art.
