Driven Senseless

I know that my senses are bursting with life; it is as if each one has five senses of its very own. I remember wondering where everything our senses touched went, until I discovered that each of us has a chest full of the treasures that pass through our life, or that we pass through during our lives. 

Leisurely walks through Canadian autumns, kicking up miniature paintings of fallen leaves in every shade & hue from brown to gold ever imagined.

Wearing black gloves to catch snowflakes as they danced their way back to earth, wondering at the intricate detail of every snowflake’s unique design.

Stunningly beautiful seas in shimmering turquoise, aqua marine and green.

Endless moods of light, emitted by sun & moon, the rays creating magical effects on everything they touched.

Everything filters through our senses, and is stored in a huge chest, lodging deep within the fibers of our being, in patient anticipation of the moment when all will be unlocked, released, set free, like multi-winged butterflies of remembrance, urging us to go on living.

Sometimes we tend to forget that everything in life is so closely knit together that they end up spilling and flowing into one another. Our journey is simply a walk along the infinite path tread by those before us.

It makes me think about where our foot prints will lead those who come after us ..
